Additions & Renovations
This gut-renovation project involved a second story addition for a master-suite, along with a farmer's porch and an open concept kitchen on the existing first level.
Shackford Garage & Mudroom
Partnering with ByHomesMass, Mass Architect teamed up with a contractor to design and build this garage and mudroom addition. We pushed the limits of the zoning setbacks and were able to fit a 2-car garage tight against the building, while still blending the new addition with the existing aesthetics of the home.
Marco Polo Construction is currently wrapping up construction at this large-scale residential gut-renovation and addition. MASS architect provided design and construction drawings for these two wing additions that will house a garden-style master suite, an open great room, a home office, and a master bedroom overlooking an existing in-ground pool and patio.
Working directly with CM Chariter Contracting, MASS Architect drafted plans for two additions for an existing colonial house. One addition was for a new great room with a fireplace and surrounding custom millwork designed by Nicholas Paolucci. The other addition housed a handicap accessible in-law suite incorporating an ADA compliant bathroom, kitchen and entry ramps.
In coordination with Essex Restoration of Wilmington, MASS Architect designed this addition to an existing single family colonial house. The project enclosed an existing porch, added a powder room and pantry to the first floor, and installed dormers in each bedroom on the second floor to enlarge the sleeping areas.
Case Addition & Renovation
Being the only licensed architect in Revere has it's perks. When approached with this project, local architect Nicholas Paolucci jumped at the opportunity to design a second floor addition and complete gut renovation for an existing single family residence just minutes away.
Puritan Park Addition
This project included a second floor addition on an existing brick ranch style home in an affluent community on the North Shore. MASS Architect represented the homeowners at the planning board hearing and pushed to get the project approved. The new font porch was designed to dress up the entry and mimic some of the neighboring houses. The second floor was built as an in-law suite which tied into the main level with a new staircase.
Working with ByHomesMass, Mass Architect designed this garage with two new bedrooms above attached to an existing residence. The homeowners now have the space they need and much desired storage space.
CM Chartier completed construction on this project in early 2018. MASS Architect provided numerous designs for this 2-car garage that blended in with the existing ranch style home. In the end, the homeowners decided to sacrifice aesthetics for square footage and chose a boxy look that boldly stands apart from the rest of the house. Above the garage is an in-law suite which connects to a mudroom below.
Shore Drive Sunroom
Working again with CM Chariter Contracting, Nicholas Paolucci developed architectural drawings for a sunroom and deck on the edge of Partridgeville Pond. The addition added some character to the back of the house and will be used throughout the year with a great view of the water.
Park Ave Dormer
This small project involved adding a shed dormer to an existing triple decker. The owner contacted local architect Nicholas Paolucci, AIA to help draft the documents needed for a building permit. The built addition provided additional space for the bedrooms on the third floor.
Essex Restoration completed this addition in coordination with MASS Architect. Nicholas Paolucci designed the project to include a master suite with a walk-in closet, fireplace, and large bathroom. The addition tied into the existing residence with ease and will be of great value to the current homeowners.
This quick project involved adding a dormer to the rear of an existing single family residence. The new interior space will be utilized for a master bathroom for the homeowner. This project was built by CMC Contracting in 2017.
This raised sunroom addition was designed by MASS Architect to incorporate a gas fireplace, an extended deck area with a glass slider, and a covered brick patio space below. The numerous windows and vaulted ceilings will provide a light-filled space for peaceful enjoyment.
North Street Porch
Nicholas Paolucci was approached by a friend to help designing a covered entry to spice up an existing ranch style home. The end result was a gable roof system which tied into the existing roof and provided a cathedral ceiling space with a central pendant light. Brackets and trim dressed up the structure with additional detail. Construction is set for Spring 2018.
North Common Road Addition
Working again with CM Chariter Contracting, MASS Architect developed preliminary drawings for schematic design and budgeting purposes. The project is currently being priced and construction documentation is on hold until financing has been approved. The addition intends to include an in-law suite for a family member, as well as a patio for a hot tub and grill facing the existing in-ground pool.
North Shore Addition
Local architect Nicholas Paolucci was approached by a Revere resident in need of additional space for a growing family. MASS Architect responded quickly with a solution for a second floor addition. This project is currently undergoing approval by the city and pricing by a local contractor.
These rustic additions onto an existing cape style house, added some flair and intrigue while adding additional floor area to the existing bedrooms. Construction for the project has been put on hold until further notice.
This project added a side porch, balcony, roof deck and artist's studio on the back of an existing Victorian residence on the North Shore. The construction of the project is still in the planning phase and may be constructed in the future.
Pierce Addition & Gut Reno
Working with Foss Construction, MASS Architect was commissioned to draw plans for a two car addition, porch enclosure, and complete interior renovation for an existing ranch on the South Shore. This project has been ongoing for a couple years and is currently under approval from the town.
